Perhaps hope comes in different forms and layers. Perhaps it’s simply believing that it all ends in peace.
There is this peaceful moment when the sun is softly burning your face and you feel serene because you know it’s only a matter of time until the sun goes down and it gets dark again. At that moment, you probably realize that the space between where you are and where you want to be, which seems like a giant gap, is only a step that you are afraid to take.
There will be moments like this when you will come across your inner self very briefly –through every single ray of the sun– and you will become aware of how far you’ve been since the last time you said you couldn’t make it. In moments like this, you will understand that there is more awaiting for you because there is more above than what’s below, there is hope in you that transparents in all of us.
In photography, they call it “The Golden Hour”, and now I know why.
